5 Signs That You Need A Pool Inspection

Your pool may be a source of entertainment and fun for you and your family. However, it needs to be maintained and checked in order for it to function properly. If it is not, then you risk damaging it. But, you may not know the signs that your pool may need a pool inspection.

Here are a few signs you can look for.

Electrical Issues

If you notice that there are burnt out lightbulbs or issues with your junction box, then your pool may have some electrical issues. This may require a professional to come in and perform any repairs. You should avoid trying to fix it on your own since a professional will know how to do it properly without creating any other damage.

Pool Interior Damage

You may notice that over time, your liner may rip or there may be algae that you can't get rid of. Calling a pool inspector can give you insight into your pool’s health. A professional can tell you whether or not repairs are necessary, and if so, which ones you need. And, you do not want your family or guests swimming in water with algae. So, it is always best to get it checked to prevent further damage from occurring.

Outdated Equipment

If you installed pool equipment a long time ago, it might be time to get it checked. This doesn’t necessarily mean it needs to be replaced, but you want to make sure that it is functioning properly. You should also get your pool inspector to check any diving boards and pool ladders to make sure they are secure and intact.
